According to the intercepted LTTE transmission, it has been confirmed that four sea tiger cadres had been killed in the attack that took place in the seas off Pulmudai on 04th May 2007. The  four  (04) names of  LTTE cadre killed in the Pulmudai naval attack are self-acclaimed Lt. Col Thamulawan alias Pudiyawan alias Yogarasa Jayapalan, Thiruchandren Sathyaseela alias Sudar, Anton Angelo alias Thuiyawan (a sea tiger), and Karanan. Karanan is said to be the Sea Tiger leader of Chemmalai area, it further revealed.

 

The LTTE outfit had been withholding the names possibly in order to avert demoralization of their junior cadres as the killed cadres are senior in the organization according to the so-called ranks conferred which is itself a testimony.
