Naval Troops recover weapon and ammo

Acting on information received a Naval Intelligence team recovered a T 56 weapon and ammunition from the general area of Periyakulam in Nilaweli on 02nd November 2009 around 1600hrs.

The weapon was found together with a T 56 magazine and seven 7.62x39mm (ball) ammunition in a scrub jungle area at the above location.
