Commander of the Navy visits PNS Shamsheer

Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe visited the Pakistani Naval Ship PNS Shamsheer at the Port of Colombo today (16 January 2010). He was warmly received by the Ship’s Commanding Officer Captain Neimatullah.

PNS Shamsheer is a frigate and is 123 meters in length and 13.2 meters in breadth. It has a displacement of 1833 tons and consists of a complement of 202 Naval personnel including 14 officers and 188 sailors. It arrived in Colombo today on a good will visit.
