Three Improvised Land Mines recovered

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Theraputta recovered three (03) improvised land mines in the Mathiyamadu area in Silawathura on 02nd February 2010 around 1315 hrs.

The improvised land mines, detected during the road construction work at the location, weighed 15 kilograms each, and were found buried in the ground.
