Religious Ceremonies held in Memory of War Heroes

Sri Lanka Navy conducted a series of religious ceremonies in memory of war heroes who sacrificed their lives and limb in safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the motherland. Under the direction of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe, Area Commanders took part in the commemorative ceremonies held in their respective Naval Commands.

Religious blessings were invoked on the fallen war heroes and their sacrifices were remembered with gratitude for paving way for lasting peace to prevail in Sri Lanka where citizens of all ethnic groups could live in harmony as one big family.
