The Sri Lanka Navy strongly denies raping a ten year old girl at Mankumban in Kytes, an Island in Jaffna, as accused by LTTE terrorists' so called Peace Secretariat website today (13th April 2007). This is regarded as a baseless, deliberate and malicious attempt by the LTTE terrorists to tarnish the image of the Sri Lanka Navy.

 

The Tamil tiger terrorists who are under tremendous pressure due to their logistic network being blocked and who suffered continuous losses in the face of SLN during recent confrontations at sea, are resorting to a spiteful media campaign against the Navy. This is the normal practice of the most ruthless terrorist outfit to hide the true face of killing innocent civilians by them when they are defeated in the battle front.

 

This latest fabricated story, yet another of a series of baseless allegations during recent past, is widely a part of LTTE terrorists propaganda campaign aimed at discrediting the Navy. This is a futile effort by the LTTE terrorists in the face of international community who are intelligent enough to believe only the stories with true facts and solid evidence and who understand the motives of this terrorist out fit continuing with the dissemination of misinformation for a considerable period of time.

 

It is widely expected that the LTTE terrorists will continue with its propaganda work of propagating misinformation to divert the attention from their consecutive setbacks in the battle front.
