Navy Welfare hands over a new house to Naval War Hero

A new house constructed by Navy Welfare Unit with funds provided by a donor, Mr.Gamini Wijerathne of Colombo 06, was handed over on 5th June 2010 at Bandarawela, to the wife of late Naval War Hero Petty Officer UKDMS Kuruppu who sacrificed his life at the final stages of humanitarian operation in Mullathivu.

The donor Mr. Gamini Wijerathna, officers and the staff of Navy welfare unit and Family members of late Petty Officer Kuruppu were present at the occasion. Religious observances were fulfilled by the recipient with the blessing of Maha Sangha.
