Northern Naval Command conducts free Medical and Health clinic at Delft Island

As part of the Navy’s community welfare projects, yet another successful medical and dental health clinic was conducted at Delft Island on 31st July 2011. This clinic was organized by SLNS Wasaba in the Northern Naval Area with the assistance of Command Medical and Dental organization.

More than hundred children and adults benefited from the medical and Dental clinic. Screening for growth/development, identification of congenital heart diseases, asthma, infection, nutritional disorders, diabetes, hypertension, arthritis and skin diseases were treated at the clinic. This clinic was of utmost importance to islanders of one of the remotest islands of the country.

M/S Interpharma (pvt)Ltd, Gamma Pharmaceutical (pvt) Ltd, Harcourts and Cipla Pharmaceutical assisted by providing medicines which included some expensive drugs.
