Regular Intake 207 passes out at SLNS Shiksha

Three hundred and seventy-five naval recruits belonging to the Regular Intake 207 passed out at SLNS Shiksha on 13th May 2012. Director General Health Services Surgeon Rear Admiral NELW Jayasekera graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The Regular Intake 207 consisted of 354 male and 21 women naval recruits. Recruit RPL Wasantha was adjudged the Best Recruit. Recruit WADC Jayawardene received the award for the Highest Aggregate in all subjects. Recruit PHLT Kumara and Woman Recruit WSS Wijeratne won the awards for the Best Sportsman and Best Sportswoman respectively. Recruit SBSK Thalathugoda was selected the Best Marksman.

The well-executed drill display by the naval recruits added colour to the occasion. It was followed by a special combat skill demonstration. A large number of parents, relatives and well wishers were too present to witness the colourful passing out parade held under flood lights.
