Navy beat Police

Navy Sports Club beat Police 31-17 in a Dialog A Division league rugby encounter, which was worked off at Police Park in Bambalapitiya on 17th June 2012. First Lady Madam Shiranthi Wickremasinghe Rajapaksha, Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Somathilake Dissanayaka and Director General Operations Rear Admiral Jayantha Perera were present to witness the match.

Navy scored 4 tries, one conversion, 2 penalties and a drop goal while Police were only able to score 2 tries, 2 conversions and a penalty in reply. The one against Police is Navy’s second consecutive win in the tournament.
