Navy foils Illegal Indian Drug Transfer

Naval personnel attached to the North-western Naval Command arrested 04 Indian nationals, who were attempting to smuggle in 32 boxes of illegal inhaling drugs from Rameshwaram disguised as fishermen in the seas south of Mannar on 30^th June 2012. The suspects and the Indian Dhow named “Pradishwaram” bearing the Registration No. TN/10WV169, on which the drug had been concealed under fishing nets for the illegal transfer, were handed over to Kalpitiya Police for further investigations.
