Eastern Naval Command conducts Medical Camp for Heart Patients

As part of the Navy’s community service programmes, the Eastern Naval Command conducted a medical clinic at Cheynoor Central College on 01st July 2012 for the benefits of the civilians in the Sampoor area. Commander Eastern Naval Area Rear Admiral Jayanath Colombage and senior naval officers were also present on the occasion.

The clinic was organized by the Captain Health Department East with the assistance of NRTC Sampoor and Asiri Hospital (Pvt) Ltd. Free screening of people for heart deceases was carried out by the medical teams headed by Consultant Anesthetist Dr. Anil Perera and Consultant Cardio-thoracic Surgeon Dr. Vivet Gupta. Approximately 332 persons were screened during the clinic and the patients were directed to hospitals in the area for treatment.
