Direct Entry (RNF/VNF) Officer POP at NMA

Twenty two (22) officers that included eighteen (18) IT officers (RNF), three (03) Band officers (RNF/VNF), one (01) Acting Sub Lieutenant of VNF and one (01) Sub Lieutenant of the Electrical Branch passed out at the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA) in Trincomalee on 02nd July 2012. The Chief Guest, Commandant NMA, Commodore USR Perera took the salute after inspecting the passing out parade.

The passing out parade was held in keeping with naval customs and traditions. Parents and a large number of well-wishers were also present on the occasion.

The NMA endeavours to achieve international standards and holds the ISO 9001: 2008 quality management system certification bestowed by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution. In recognition of the yeoman service rendered over the years, it was conferred President’s Colors in 2003. To complete one’s naval training from such a renowned institution therefore, is considered a unique source of pride for any naval officer.
