SLNS Barana conducts a Health Camp at Mullikulum

SLNS Barana of the North Western Naval Command conducted a health camp at Mollikulam on 11^th August 2012. It was conducted under the patronage of Commander North Western Naval Area for the benefit of more than five hundred people who are living in the area.  

The event was organized by the Command Medical Officer with the assistance of five civil medical and one Dental officers from Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital and Medawachchiya Base Hospital. Child growth/development was screened and medical treatment to asthma, infections, nutritional disorders, diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, obstetric/gynecological, ENT and skin diseases at primary family health care level were provided to the patients  at the health camp. Those needing special attention were directed to the Mannar and Puttlam Base Hospitals for specialist opinion.
