Commander Eastern Naval Area hands over a new House to late Naval Civil Employee’s Family
Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayanath Colombage handed over a new house to the family of Naval Civil Employee, the late Anthony Adams on 26th August 2012.
Mr. Adams, who had been serving at SLN Dockyard attached to its Electrical Branch, had passed away suddenly due to a heart attack. The construction of his house, located at Sangam Village in Trincomalee, had been stalled half way due to financial difficulties arisen with his sudden demise; only the foundation had been laid for the new house. The Navy, with the financial and labour contribution rendered by naval personnel, completed the construction enabling the family to move in with all the members. Mr. Adam's wife and children, who were present on the occasion, thanked the Navy for the generous support extended to them to live in a perment shelter of their own within a short period of time.
