Indian National Defence College Team visit Eastern Naval Command

A fifteen-member team from the National Defense College (NDC), India, with their spouses visited the Eastern Naval Command in Trincomalee on 11th& 12th September 2012. The team was headed by Major General Anurag Gupta and comprised of officers from Australia, India, Nepal, Saudi Arabia and Uganda.

A reception, hosted by Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayanath Colombage was held in the Eastern Naval Area Wardroomon 11th night to welcome them. The following day the Commander Eastern Naval Area briefed the NDC officers on the current situation in the area, Port facilities at Trincomalee Harbour, history of the Trincomalee Harbour and its importance and the political, economic & security aspects while the spouses were visiting Koneswaram Temple.
