Two LTTE cadres, in the aftermath of repeated losses at the hands of the security forces and unbearable incarceration of the LTTE organization surrendered to the naval troops at the main barrier of the naval deployment in Mannar around 1200 hrs on 23rd October.
They professed themselves that one had directly involved in the attack to the two police constables on 15th October in Mannar and the other is an accomplice.
Thereafter, on their revelation, one T 56 SMG weapon, 150 7.62X39 ammunitions, 05 T 56 SMG magazines and a cleaning rod concealed in scrub was found.
The names of the two LTTE cadres are withheld for obvious reprisals that would come along behind them and their family members and this surrendering shows experience they undergo at the hands of LTTE.
