Message from the President,
Sri Lanka Navy Seva Vanitha Unit

Mrs. Srima Colombage

I am pleased to issue this message as the President of the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Sri Lanka Navy. Ever since formation of the unit in 1984 we have watched the humble beginnings and steady growth it has made to become the efficient and effective welfare organization that it is today. At this juncture, it should be our first and foremost duty to contribute towards the welfare of the Naval families.

Therefore, each one of us need to play a vital and responsible role towards the community and society through our professional work or as spouses of the serving Naval personnel. Even a small contribution, in whichever way possible can make a huge difference and as such I urge all the ladies to join hands with the Sri Lanka Navy Seva Vanitha Unit.

Sri Lanka Navy Seva Vanitha Unit is indeed a platform for sharing our knowledge and experience. Besides, it is also an immense source of inspiration and motivation. Thus, we should be determined to make all possible contributions towards the Sri Lanka Navy Seva Vanitha Unit’s untiring efforts in helping the needy families especially children.

I would like to recognize the invaluable contributions made by the Past Presidents and Members of the Sri Lanka Navy Seva Vanitha Unit and would like to pledge to continue to guide the destinies of the organization in the best interests of the Seva Vanitha Movement. May the blessings of the Noblest Triple Gem be with you all !

Mrs. Srima Colombage
